IS Strategy
Having worked closely with a number of government departments to design and implement Information Systems
strategy, Gantt has the capability to match departmental policy with growth targets and identify change requirements in current
strategy needed to align system requirements with business needs.
Gantt assesses the potential administration budget over a number of years, past and future, and produces
a strategic development programme which is acceptable to stakeholders and senior management. We then design the appropriate
projects, carefully addressing overlapping areas, to ensure successful completion of the programme.
Gantt find it important to include supplier’s views in the production of the final strategy and, as
such, interviews are arranged accordingly.
This service also focuses on IT administration issues such as e-mail overload, flexible working policy, video
conferencing development, organizational structure, helpdesk operation and other IT issues affecting strategy.
Our final Information Systems Positioning report enables the client to articulate clearly the future of IT
in the organisation, give direction to the developing IT Strategy, and brief its ICT suppliers accordingly.
Infrastructure Management
Technology Infrastructure in today's fast moving computer environment needs knowledge, experience and financial
awareness to develop and achieve results. Working under client director control, we provide high calibre Interim Infrastructure Mangers to benefit clients in a variety of situations
lasting from 3 months to 2 years.
Our clients utilise this service to address difficult situations requiring more specialised technical management
experience. Gantt managers review infrastructure technology and identify weaknesses in hardware, software and resource structure.
Where necessary, we will re-design and re-negotiate support contracts with suppliers and develop resource into the organisation
most suitable to maximise efficiency.
We review and devise change control methodologies for “production” environments to ensure that
both hardware and software implementations are controlled and accurate execution of issues are realised.
We design “test beds” and “model office” environments to aid and control accuracy
of longer term implementations.
Most importantly, we will work towards a successful handover to the successor when permanent staff are ready
for the post. At the end of our contract, Gantt will give the benefit of our experience by completing a report identifying
the principle objectives for the coming 12 months.
IS/IT Consultancy
Gantt Consultants provide technical and business support to Senior Responsible Officers of both programmes
and large projects. We help assess the vision, contributing experience of other similar situations, to ensure
that the client (SRO) is given the best available information on which to base decisions.
Our Directors and Senior partners also offer a personal Mentoring service designed specifically to advise
on best courses of action to achieve superlative results.
Legal Expert Services
On an ad-hoc basis, Gantt advises both the Police and Legal profession in various cases. We provide experts
in a number of disciplines to assist the UK legal profession in identifying best practice in the resolution of disputes.
Information Security and Governance
Gantt has a pragmatic approach to Information Security and Governance. We identify the business processes
and apply risk assessment using both audit procedures and our own risk model.
This enables us to provide the client with a business view of information risk and to develop a continuity
plan accordingly.
